Position Summary

The Director of Engineering & Automation provides strategic and technical leadership for cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation functions supporting highly available cloud and telephony platforms. This role is accountable for platform reliability, automation maturity, and engineering excellence, while partnering closely with operations, product, and service delivery teams.

Build and lead a high-performing engineering and automation organization that delivers resilient, secure, and highly automated cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead cloud engineering, DevOps, and automation teams.
– Own platform reliability, availability, and SLA performance.
– Define and execute engineering and automation strategy.
– Drive CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.
– Establish monitoring and proactive issue detection standards.
– Reduce MTTR through tooling and automation.
– Partner with operations and service delivery leaders.
– Guide capacity planning and performance optimization.
– Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies.
– Lead and develop engineering managers and senior engineers.

Required Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
– 10+ years of cloud engineering or DevOps experience.
– Strong leadership experience.
– Deep knowledge of cloud platforms and automation.
– Strong networking and telephony knowledge.
– Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience delivering large-scale automation initiatives.
– Programming or scripting experience.
– Containers and orchestration experience.

Travel

Up to 15% travel as required.
