Position Summary

The Senior Director, Special Projects is responsible for leading complex, high-visibility, and cross-functional initiatives that are critical to business strategy, cloud transformation, and operational execution. This role plans, executes, and delivers multi-platform cloud programs and strategic initiatives, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned to business objectives. The Senior Director operates with a high degree of autonomy and executive visibility, owning delivery, risk management, and stakeholder alignment end to end.

Key Responsibilities

– Lead complex, cross-functional special projects and strategic cloud programs.
– Define program scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables.
– Develop and manage comprehensive program plans, budgets, and risk registers.
– Direct cross-functional teams and third-party partners.
– Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and critical paths.
– Provide executive-level communication and reporting.
– Manage scope changes and develop contingency plans.
– Establish governance, best practices, and standards.
– Conduct program post-mortems and drive continuous improvement.
– Support pre-sales and strategic planning efforts.

Required Qualifications

– 10+ years of progressive program or project management experience.
– Experience managing complex programs in cloud or technology environments.
– Strong experience with program planning, budgeting, and reporting.
– Demonstrated executive-level communication skills.
– Strong sense of accountability and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

– PMP, PgMP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications.
– Experience leading cloud transformations or managed services transitions.
– Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Travel
