Position Summary
The Cloud Operations Lead provides day-to-day technical oversight and direction to cloud services personnel under the Senior Manager of Cloud Services. This role serves as a player-coach leader, ensuring operational stability, service quality, and execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide daily oversight and technical direction to cloud operations staff.
• Monitor service performance, SLAs, and operational KPIs.
• Escalation point for complex cloud service incidents.
• Ensure adherence to operational standards and documentation practices.
• Support capacity planning and service optimization initiatives.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring of junior cloud engineers.
Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure or managed services experience.
• Strong technical background in cloud platforms.
• Experience leading technical teams in an operational setting.
• Strong troubleshooting and escalation management skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Work Environment & Travel
Remote role. Up to 25% travel may be required to support operational reviews, customer engagements, leadership meetings, and planning sessions.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Senior Manager of Cloud Services. Provides day-to-day oversight of cloud operations personnel.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
